Project Presentation

Today class is project presentation. We divided class into group and choose the interest topic for doing project. There are 2 types of project, research project and implementation project. I will show my classmates' project classified by type.

Research Project

- Social network sites analysis

My selecting topic is also research project, we decided to choose the topic named social network sites analysis. This project is about the analysis of social network sites in many ways such as human’s behavior, structure of each sites and trend of social network sites classified by purpose of sites. We choose about 30 social network sites such as facebook, twitter, wordpress, pinterest and instragram to analyzed information. We will fetch the data like page hit, number of user and popular features to create the suggestion for the users that want to invest or develop social network sites.

- Small world

This project is talk about the small world theory. This theory use to describe friend of friend effect. Small world simulate the real world problem. We always use mutual friend to find friend so, this group will use this theory to simulate the real problem and capture the result.

- Viral Video

There are many viral video in social network sites. Viral video is the video that people like, shared and made it become very popular such as Gangnam style music video which perform by PSY; the Korean singer. The next example is Harem shake video. There are many version which made by people around the world. Why are these video become popular? This group will find out the answer by analyzed information from signal, sound and other effect.

- Facebook Measuring

This group will talk about the most popular social network site in the world. They will analyzed the information about facebook such as, number of user, number active users and number of application the run on facebook. The purpose of this group is measuring level of using facebook.

Implementation Project

- So CL Check-in

This project is application that use for checking in via facebook. Users can see their friends through the map which show on application. The features are grouping friends and uses can see list of friend that near of at the same place of users. Users can search friend easily by grouping friend into group like high school friend.

- Picture Story

This application is very interesting. Picture story is about sharing picture into story by users. There will be chat room for each story like Harry potter, The Lord of the Ring or Conan, and then users can access these chat rooms and post the picture with description below the picture. Users can create the new story that related with the original story. I think this application must have a lot of users when it is launched because the fan of the book will follow and use it.

There are many projects that I like and I think, the implementation projects need a lot of information like research project. They need to study users’ behavior for decision to create the new features for their project. In the last week of class the final project will be present again and I will talk about each project again. Hope you will be enjoy for this week!
